The data reported on the university’s case-tracking website changed starting on Feb. 15, 2022 after Boone County Public Health and Human Services (PHHS) administrators changed how it collected and reported data on COVID-19 cases in Boone County. At that time, the university could no longer reflect active cases based on county data, but instead began sharing self-reported student and employee cases from each day.
COVID-19 case trends
Notice: As the spring 2022 semester comes to a close, the University of Missouri has experienced a sharp decrease in self-reported COVID-19 cases among MU students, faculty and staff. At this time, MU will pause reporting of daily COVID-19 cases on this dashboard. This pause was effective May 14, 2022. Archived case data for 2020 – 2022 can be found below.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s COVID Data Tracker is the most detailed source for following case trends in the broader Columbia/Boone County community.
